At The London Piano Institute, we warmly welcome adults who have always wanted to play the piano but who have never had the opportunity to do so.
We invite all adult piano beginners from all walk of life including lawyers, bankers, accountants, insurance brokers, traders, investors or men and women working in any industry to begin their piano journey in our fantastic music haven.
Passionate by adult piano education and fascinated by the love that amateur pianists have for the instrument, our founder Celine Gaurier-Joubert specifically created The London Piano Institute with you in mind.
She chose for the institute to be located in Fleet Street, in the heart of the City of London, to make it convenient for you to attend your piano lessons either at lunchtime or in the evening after work. You can also attend mid-afternoon if you wish!
Being a concert pianist herself, she grew up surrounded by amateur musicians. For this reason, she always wanted to offer music lovers the opportunity to express themselves and benefit from an excellent piano education that would be tailored to them.
Thanks to her passion and unparalleled knowledge in the field, we are delighted to be able to welcome you, as an adult beginner to learn how to play the piano with outstanding piano instructors in the City of London.
At The London Piano Institute, we fully understand where you come from and where you want to go. We are aware that your goal is not to become a professional pianist, that you have a limited amount of time to dedicate to personal practice and that your objective is to play for pleasure.
That is why our piano teachers work alongside you and adapt to your unique personality and style of piano playing that you want to learn. We will never judge or patronise you. On the contrary, we will always encourage you and help you achieve your goal in a non-judgmental atmosphere and relaxed environment.
We are fully aware that you are not looking for perfection and that you just want to play the piano for yourself, without any pretension. Do not worry; you will not be required to play endless scales, monotonous technical exercises or mundane pieces. Your piano instructor will always select pieces that you love to ensure that your piano lessons are immensely enjoyable!
We are aware that learning how to play the piano as an adult can feel stressful. We know that you might think that it is ridiculous to embark on such a journey at this stage of your life, but we can assure you that it is quite the opposite. The truth is learning how to play the piano will drastically reduce work-related stress and you will be surprised at just how relaxing it is.
